Writing is an art, passion, profession and a reflection
of a person’s ideas, beliefs, thoughts and opinions. It is not easy to become a
writer. It requires patience, perseverance, creativity, honesty and above all
diligence. Paul David Pope is the
author of “The deeds of my Fathers”, which describes how his grandfather,
father started the journey of building New York and eventually established the
world’s biggest tabloid. He provides some useful insights for emerging writers
to help them write and publish in a professional manner.
The golden rule to be an above average or a good writer
is to be an avid reader. Reading good authors not only helps improve language,
vocabulary but also gives varied ideas in terms of storyline and different
forms of writing. It is almost impossible to become a writer overnight as it is
a gradual process. Therefore, if someone desires or has a passion for writing
they need to start with writing “personal diaries” or maybe even small articles,
according to Paul David Pope. This
is their creative space where they can pen down their daily, thoughts,
feelings, emotions and opinions. This work may or may not be published but it
will surely give the author a lot of confidence and practice before embarking
on a writing career.
Paul David
Pope is
the third generation Italian-American settled in Florida and is actively
involved with various charitable organizations. In his experience, there are no
shortcuts to success let alone writing. People learn by their own mistakes and
that is the best way to learn even in case of writing. Getting in touch with
one’s inner self and consciousness helps generate better ideas and writing
provides a deep insight into this process. Such authors, artists are honest,
simple and they exhibit what they truly feel about. This helps them connect
with the masses very easily and they are an instance hit.
Paul David Pope was born in New York but spent his childhood
in Florida. He has also received his training in acting and singing from London .
